Personal Protective Equipment Standards
Tree work is inherently hazardous. Our crews are equipped with industry-standard PPE on every job, no exceptions. All equipment is inspected before use and retired at first sign of wear or damage.
Head protection - ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 hard hats, Type I & II, worn at all times during active work
Eye & face protection - ANSI Z87.1 safety glasses; face shields during chipping and grinding
Chainsaw-resistant chaps - ASTM F1897 & OSHA 1910.266 compliant, required for all chainsaw operators
Hand & foot protection - Cut-resistant gloves and ASTM-rated chainsaw boots
Rigging & lowering gear - Friction devices, pulleys, and rigging lines; inspected before each use

Chainsaw-resistant chaps, cut-resistant gloves, and ASTM-rated boots are required for every chainsaw operator on every job, no exceptions and no shortcuts. Full protection, every time.

Rigging & Lowering Systems
Friction devices, pulleys, and rigging lines are used for every controlled limb lowering operation. Each piece of equipment is inspected before use and operated exclusively by trained crew members.
