Rules and regulations

Eligibility

  • Location: Open to legal residents located within Martin Tree Care’s service area.

  • Age: Must be 18 years or older to enter.

  • Ownership: The tree must be located on the property you own or have legal permission to submit for service.

How to Enter

  • Submit a clear photo of your tree via [email or website form] by [entry deadline date].

  • Include your full name, contact information, address, and a brief description of the tree.

Winner Selection

  • Entries will be judged based on tree size, uniqueness, and visual impact by a panel from Martin Tree Care.

  • One (1) winner will be selected and notified by [winner announcement date].

  • The winner must grant Martin Tree Care and its media team reasonable access to their property for tree trimming and filming on a mutually agreed date.

  • If access is denied or delayed, Martin Tree Care reserves the right to revoke the prize and choose an alternate winner.

Prize Details

  • The winner will receive one (1) complimentary tree trimming service, performed by Martin Tree Care.

  • The approximate value of the service depends on the scope of work but is not redeemable for cash or credit.

  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, substituted, or rescheduled for monetary value.

Filming & Publicity

  • The winner must consent to having the tree trimming filmed and photographed by a professional media team.

  • The footage may be used in marketing, social media, promotional videos, and advertising by Martin Tree Care and its media partners.

  • The winner may be asked to sign a standard media release form prior to the service date.

General Terms

  • Martin Tree Care reserves the right to verify ownership and location of the submitted tree.

  • Contest void where prohibited by law.

  • Martin Tree Care reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time for any reason.

  • By entering, participants agree to these rules and release Martin Tree Care and its affiliates from all liability.

  • The tree must be deemed safe and appropriate for trimming by Martin Tree Care’s arborist.

  • If the tree poses structural or health hazards that make trimming unsafe, Martin Tree Care reserves the right to withdraw the prize.

Photo Submission Guidelines

To be eligible, all photo entries must follow these rules:

Original Content Only

  • Photos must be taken by the person submitting them or with permission from the photographer.

  • Do not submit stock photos, AI-generated images, or photos you don’t have the rights to.

File Requirements

  • Acceptable formats: JPEG or PNG.

  • Minimum size: 1 MB (to ensure quality for judging and promotional use).

  • Blurry, dark, or low-resolution photos may be disqualified.

No People in Photos

  • To protect privacy, submitted photos should not contain any identifiable individuals, especially children.

Tree Visibility

  • The tree must be clearly visible and unobstructed (no excessive distance, fences, or cars blocking view).

  • Bonus points for showing the tree’s full height and canopy from base to top.

Photo Rights & Usage

  • By submitting, you grant Martin Tree Care a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, and publish the photo in marketing materials, on the website, and social media.

  • Credit may be given where appropriate, but is not guaranteed.

Disqualification for Inappropriate Content

  • Submissions that contain offensive, defamatory, illegal, or inappropriate content will be automatically disqualified and may be reported if necessary.
